Job summary

Mativ Holdings, Inc. is seeking an adhesive mixing operator to ensure accurate blending of adhesives with solvents and additives. The role involves weighing, measuring, mixing, and inventorying materials, with a Friday–Sunday shift from 5:45am to 6:00pm and a 10% shift differential.

Training will occur Monday through Thursday. You will work closely with the lead and warehouse teams, log all mixing data, and maintain clean, organized work areas while following safety rules for handling solvents

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent GED.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Capable of accurately using various measuring devices and timers.
• Must wear required Personal Protection Equipment when handling adhesives, additives, solvents and any other prescribed material.
• Keeps work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Complies with company attendance policies.
• Assists Coater Operators as needed and as time permits.
• Removes and returns, to the drum storage area, all drums, totes and containers for which there is no need.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with lead person or shift supervisor to ascertain mixing requirements for upcoming shift.
• Reads work orders and determines adhesive requirement.
• Verifies accuracy of quantity and type of materials delivered from warehouse and drum room.
• Formulates, mixes, blends adhesives with solvents, additives, pigments and/or other adhesives.
• Follows mix instructions and logs tests and records in log book.
• Prepares the correct quantity and enters data into computer database with proper lot control.
• Labels drums and totes and delivers prepared adhesives to machines.
• Maintains communication during shift regarding changes in adhesive requirements.
• Cleans mixers after use and keeps mixing room clean and organized.
• Provides solvents to coater personnel for cleaning while following safety rules.
