Job summary

Trezevant-Episcopal-Home is seeking an Activity Assistant to support residents' social, physical, and recreational needs on weekends. The role involves leading and assisting with planned activities, preparing materials, and ensuring a welcoming environment that encourages interaction and self-worth.

The assistant will document activities, work with volunteers, and accompany residents on van trips when required, aiming for high resident and family satisfaction through compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as CNA or in recreation, preferably with seniors.
• Ability to read, write and follow directions.
• Some computer experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute a variety of social, physical, creative, spiritual and recreational activities for residents.
• Lead daily activities and be present for scheduled events.
• Prepare supplies and maintain activity documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Assist or lead volunteers in scheduled activities.
• Ensure activity calendars are posted in resident rooms.
• Conduct one-on-one activities with residents unable to participate in groups.
• Assist with transportation to activities as needed.
• Contribute to resident satisfaction as measured by family feedback.
• Maintain courteous, listening, and problem-solving skills with residents and families.
