Sinceri Senior Living in Evansville, IN is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and provide engaging programs for residents, meeting state requirements and promoting a vibrant community life.

You will follow the events calendar, maintain resident social histories, assist with setting up events, and support a safe, fun, and inclusive environment with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Experience planning and directing activities for elderly residents and organizing programs for residents, families, and staff.
• Good verbal communication and the ability to guide others in a pleasant, clear manner.
• Ability to promote activities and enlist staff support for programming.
• Ability to assess residents’ needs and adjust programming accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Assist RED in planning and providing activities that support residents’ quality of life and meet state requirements.
• Follow the Calendar of Events and maintain an active, social environment.
• Maintain updated social histories and Life Profiles for residents.
• Support health and wellness programs for residents.
• Meet new residents and families to introduce activity programs and encourage participation.
• Manage supplies inventory and coordinate event setup or breakdown.
• Operate community bus for outings or events when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
