Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a Part-Time Activity Aide to support residents on weekends and one weeknight. The role centers on therapeutic and diversional activities, ensuring residents stay engaged and safe.

Candidates should have national or state certification, at least two years of experience in social or recreational programming, and strong English communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Certified nationally or by the state.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program setting.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use own initiative with problem solving.
• Experience in long-term care setting or related health care field.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient activities (therapeutic and diversional) for all residents.
• Carries out support tasks relating to patient activities correctly and on schedule.
• Ensures resident activity calendars and communications are updated and posted daily.
• Participates in special resident events and outings.
