Job summary

Azria Health is seeking a positive activities assistant to join the activities team at our SNF in Woodbine, IA. The role supports scheduling and coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly resident events with the Activities Director, arranging logistics, volunteers, and resources to deliver fun, safe activities for residents.

12 hours per week, weekend shifts 2-8pm. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR and first aid training, ability to pass a drug screen and background

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly events for residents.
• Handle logistics for events under the direction of the Activities Director.
• Manage volunteers and resources to deliver safe, engaging activities.
• Assist residents with paperwork as needed.
• Plant flowers outside for SNF grounds.

We are looking for a positive, compassionate activities assistant to help the activities team schedule and coordinate events. The activities assistant will create and handle the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly events at the direction of the Activities Director. They will assist the team in managing volunteers and resources, and delivering fun, safe events for our residents. You should be detail-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

Specific Duties:

• 12 hours/week
• Housekeeping duties for the dining, activity, bathrooms, hallways, empty rooms in the IL.
• Managing the activity calendar for the SNF
• Planting the flowers outside for SNF
• Assisting tenants with paperwork as needed

Requirements for activities assistant:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Job training, CPR, and first aide training may be necessary.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Physical fitness, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.
• Patients and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work when needed, including possible evenings, weekends, or early mornings.
