Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Weekend Activities Assistant (Creative Design) to engage residents through inclusive activities that promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. You will support onboarding of new teammates and recruit volunteers to expand the program, while involving families and the community to boost participation.

Ideal candidates have prior experience with geriatric populations and may pursue CNA certification; the role includes paid training,

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with geriatric population is preferred
• CNA certification is preferred. Must be open to getting CNA certification within the first six (6) months of employment

• Recruits, organizes, trains and recognizes volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program, while including as many residents as possible
• Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to increase the overall participation of residents as active contributors to their well-being
