Job summary

East Cobb Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a compassionate activities assistant to lead daily planned activities for our residents. You will work under the guidance of the Activities Director and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver engaging, meaningful activities.

The role values a warm personality, teamwork, and a willingness to support residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through creative programs.

Qualifications

• Warm, caring personality and ability to work well in a team.
• Experience with elderly population preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow schedule and support activity director.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director to implement the activities program.
• Follow the current activities schedule as directed.
• Provide one-on-one activities for bed-bound residents.
• Assist with distributing and engaging in craft activities.
• Complete forms, reports and progress notes accurately.
• Identify and address residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interactions.

In this role, you'll receive guidance and support from our Activitvities Assistant/Aide.

• Providing one-on-one activities for bed-bound residents.
• Assisting residents with distributing and engaging in craft activities.
• Completing necessary forms, reports, and progress notes accurately.
• Identifying and addressing residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interactions.

Requirements:

• A warm and caring personality.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Preferred, but not required, experience working with the elderly population.
