Job summary

Royal Health Group is seeking an Activities Assistant at Norwell Nursing in Norwell, MA. The role focuses on enhancing residents' intellectual, emotional, and spiritual well-being through individualized and group activities within a supportive, team-oriented facility.

You will assist in developing activity plans, coordinating monthly calendars, and supporting residents’ engagement in daily living activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in long-term care or healthcare is a plus.
• Experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia patients is a plus.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality of employee, resident and company information.
• Ability to relate professionally with patients, families and staff at all levels.
• Must possess computer skills necessary to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in enhancing and supporting resident interests and hobbies.
• Help plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activity programs.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendars and written plans of care.
• Participate in discharge planning and resident assessments.
• Assist in scheduling programs and coordinating games and activities.
• Encourage participation in daily living activities to support residents’ potential.
