Job summary

Algood Food Company in Louisville, KY is hiring for a Weekend 2nd shift Production Operator. The role involves operating, monitoring, and adjusting packaging equipment to meet production goals, with a focus on safety and quality. Weekend schedule provides a stationary shift with potential for overtime and shift differential.

Requires high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of food manufacturing experience. Forklift experience is preferred and HACCP/SQF training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED.
• 2-3 years’ experience in food manufacturing.
• HACCP and SQF training required.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust machinery on the production line and be able to quickly identify any malfunctions of machine or outputs.
• Stop machines and report any malfunctions immediately.
• Assisting in rework during idle production times.
• Responsible for completing all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
• Staging and loading packaging for the products that will be produced on the line.
• Ensure continuous cleaning required throughout the shift.
• Inspect all materials, ingredients, and inventory to ensure food safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate breaks/lunches with other Operators and Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
