Job summary

GoodWork Staffing is seeking a 2nd shift Production Operator to safely operate and monitor food processing equipment, including mixers, pumps, filling and packaging machines. The role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, with hourly pay between $21 and $23 and a direct-hire path.

Candidates should have experience in manufacturing environments, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license is not required for this role but may be useful.
• Experience in food manufacturing or related industry preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Ability to lift at least 55 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor food processing equipment, including mixers, pumps, filling, and packaging machines.
• Set up machinery for production runs and adjust for optimal performance.
• Conduct regular quality checks and report deviations to QA.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, and SOPs to maintain sanitary work areas.
• Meet daily production targets and minimize downtime by addressing bottlenecks.
• Record production data and batch information in logs and systems.
• Assist with movement, loading, and unloading of materials and proper labeling.
• Collaborate with the team on process improvements and efficiency.
• Attend safety trainings and promptly report hazards or incidents.
