Lozier Corporation in Middlebury, IN is hiring for a Weekend 1st Shift Welder. You will perform MIG and spot welding in a manufacturing setting, read blueprints, select equipment, and work with robotic welders on automated lines.

This role offers 12-hour Friday-Sunday shifts, a base rate of $22.39 per hour with a $2 shift premium, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days, plus benefits and a first raise after six months. Candidates should have a high school diploma and welding experience.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
• Experience with welding processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Knowledge of weld symbols, tolerances, and metallurgy basics.
• Familiarity with welding inspection tools (calipers, gauges, microscopes, weld cameras).
• Experience with weld process optimization.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to perform accurate welding operations.
• Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, tools, and materials.
• Perform welding operations safely and efficiently, meeting production schedules and quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE usage.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Operate robotic welding systems, monitor, and maintain robotic welds; adjust parameters as needed.
• Program robotic welding equipment for automated production runs.
• Troubleshoot robot settings to maintain weld quality and production efficiency.
• Work with engineers/technicians to optimize robotic processes.
• Maintain documentation related to robot operation, maintenance, and quality checks.
• Perform MIG welding on components according to specifications; set up MIG equipment.
• Spot/Resistance welding operations on sheet metal; maintain electrode alignment and perform basic maintenance.
