Job summary

Physicians Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art multispecialty surgery center in Jackson, MS, is seeking a Part Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, verify information, and support the front office in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site role offers Tue/Thu/Fri 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Candidate should have strong communication, attention to detail, and experience in customer

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably healthcare.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in scheduling and data-entry software.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is beneficial but not required.
Longevity in past roles.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries.
Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and collect necessary payments.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and patient records management.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
