Job summary

Owenton Healthcare and Rehab in Kentucky is seeking an LPN to provide bedside care, monitor vital signs, and communicate between patients, nurses, and physicians. You will administer medications, monitor glucose levels, and assist with personal hygiene and charting. The role emphasizes patient confidentiality and teamwork within a family-oriented facility.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in State.
• One year of experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance.
• Record the patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate).
• Collect patient’s health information.
• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians.
• Give oral medications and injections to patients.
• Test a patient’s blood sugar levels.
• Urinary catheter insertion and care.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene.
• Monitor for changes in patients.
• Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patient’s medical records.
• Ask questions when in doubt for clarification by the Registered Nurse.
• Act as a role model for ancillary personnel.
• Maintain the confidentiality of the patient’s clinical records.
