Owenton Healthcare and Rehab is seeking an LPN to join our caring team in a community-minded facility. We offer 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and professional growth.

As an LPN you will provide bedside care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and coordinate with RNs and physicians. A current LPN license in the state and one year of long-term care experience are preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in State.
• One year of experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance.
• Record the patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate)
• Collect patient’s health information
• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians
• Give oral medications and injections to patients
• Test a patient’s blood sugar levels
• Urinary catheter insertion and care
• Assist patients with personal hygiene
• Monitor for changes in patients
• Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patient’s medical records
• Asks questions when in doubt for clarification by the Registered Nurse.
• Acts as a role model for ancillary personnel.
• Maintains the confidentiality of the patient’s clinical records.
