Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role emphasizes a daytime schedule with no nights or rotating shifts, offering a true Monday–Friday work pattern.

You will use procedural skills such as debridement, manage chronic wounds, and work with SNFs. Qualifications include MD/DO, state license, and DEA eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background welcomed; wound care training provided.
• Experience in wound care is not required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and bedside debridement and other procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing wounds.
• Advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.
