Job summary

United Surgical Partners International's Leonardtown Surgery Center seeks a Registered Nurse Preop/PACU to join our team. The role emphasizes continuous patient safety, comfort, and privacy as patients recover from anesthesia.

The position requires weekday work only—no holidays, weekends, nights or on-call shifts. Ideal candidates have PACU/critical care experience and strong nursing judgment to support a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for all patients in the PreOp/PACU setting.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care from anesthesia recovery to discharge.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as needed.
