Job summary

Singing Hills Surgery Center in Comal County, just north of San Antonio, is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (PRN) to support recovery and patient care. The role includes bedside care, turning and transferring patients, assisting RN staff, and ensuring clean, stocked recovery areas.

The position requires a CNA credential, a High School Diploma or GED, and at least one year of related experience. Weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential required.
• One year related experience.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and histories.
• Patient interviewing skills.
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly; surgery procedures knowledge helpful.
• Understands aseptic technique and its implementation.

Responsibilities

• Stock Recovery Room bedsides and prepare supplies.
• Dress patients and assist with mobility.
• Walk patients and assist to bathroom.
• Answer call lights and phones; assist RN as needed.
• Transport patients to vehicles upon discharge.
• Screening questionnaires and preparing linen bags.
• Clean bedsides and wipe bedside areas; monitor food supply levels.
• Stock nourishment area and report when food is needed.
