Job summary

Central Vermont Medical Center in Barre, Vermont, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Family Medicine team. This full-time opportunity offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekend requirements, allowing you to build meaningful patient relationships and maintain balance.

You will work with an established patient population and enjoy strong collaboration with physicians and APPs, with mentorship, onboarding, and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Minimum three to five years of direct patient care experience required.
• One to two years of NP or PA experience in primary care highly desirable.
• Completion of an accredited NP/PA program as applicable.
• Active Vermont license/credentialing for APRN or PA as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient care, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and development of treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and ensure appropriate use of ancillary services.
• Provide care for patients across a range of health conditions in collaboration with one or more physicians.
• Address acute medical needs promptly and effectively.
• Manage timely responses to patient messages and medication refill requests.
