Painpoint-Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for a full-time, Monday-Friday role from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in LaPorte, IN 46350. You will handle phones, check patients in and out, take histories, vital signs, and document records to support clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification may be required.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and office ethics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and check patients in and out.
• Obtain patient information, medical histories, vital signs and data.
• Maintain confidential patient records and obtain forms and consents.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with medications under physician direction and supervision.
• Support practitioners during procedures and patient transfers.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance and complete training.
