Job summary

Open Arms Solutions is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors living with dementia or Alzheimer’s in Oak Brook and surrounding areas. Weekday daytime shifts, available at least 3 days per week, with ongoing assignments based on client needs.

You’ll assist with daily activities, provide memory-care support, and help maintain routines in clients’ homes, offering safe, dignified care and companionship.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• Previous experience caring for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
• Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, CNA/HHA, DSP, or a similar setting.
• Patience, reliability, and the ability to provide calm, respectful care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Smartphone for communication and care-related documentation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to complete required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily activities
• Provide patient, compassionate support for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s
• Encourage familiar routines, engagement, and companionship
• Prepare meals and assist with hydration
• Provide medication reminders
• Help with mobility and maintain a safe home environment
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to client care
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior
