Job summary

New England Village in Kingston, MA, is seeking a Day Services Paraprofessional for a Monday–Friday day shift at $20/hour (30 hours per week). This role involves working directly with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to teach, assist, and facilitate choices in daily life and the community.

The position requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years of experience with adults with disabilities, plus a valid driver’s license. Training is provided and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required. Additional education preferred.
• Over 1 year and up to 3 years experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Assist members to identify, develop and participate in activities designed to increase functional independence.
• Coordinate and follow established schedule and provide support for members to integrate into the community and incorporate therapeutic goals.
• Inform appropriate parties of medical, behavioral, social or other relevant issues concerning members, document in logbook or incident reports.
• Develop life skill and enrichment curriculum in accordance with the executive office of human services.
• Provide assistance to participants during activities and ensure safety and hygiene.
• Maintain a clean and stimulating environment and follow dietary plans as required.
