Job summary

Anthropologie, part of URBN, is seeking a Merchandise Assistant to support Weddings buying operations and the broader merchandise flow. You will collaborate with market partners, distribution centers, design, and production, and assist the Buyer/Associate Buyer on tasks.

You will own web turnover, manage samples, coordinate PR and web photography needs, and ensure timely communication across teams while balancing priorities.

Qualifications

• Must exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks.
• 1-2 Years retail experience or internship.
• Understanding of customer wants and trends; identify products that appeal.

Responsibilities

• Own web turnover: manage web photo sample request process.
• Support product development through sample management.
• Request presentation samples for PR, web photos, and meetings; ensure timely availability.
• Track, ship, and receive samples; return to vendors promptly.
• Communicate changes to cross-functional teams and partners.
• Balance priorities for sample needs and deadlines.
• Conduct weekly web audits; report issues in Monday morning meeting.
• Become an expert on product assortment and sample locations.
• Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mindset.
• Multi-task, organize, and problem-solve to meet goals.
• Manage meeting requests, provide agendas and recaps.
• Contribute comments using data to product reviews and feedback.
• Suggest process improvements for better organization and efficiency.
• Offer help to teammates during crunch times; stay flexible.
