Job summary

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is seeking an experienced Assistant Event Manager to support leadership and day-to-day operations of the events department. This role partners with the Event Manager to ensure weddings, private events, and other property events run smoothly from setup to breakdown.

The position focuses on hands-on event leadership, staffing and labor management, and maintaining Pippin Hill’s high standards for service and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of event, hospitality, restaurant, or related operational leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supervising and developing employees.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail with knowledge of event service and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weddings, private events and other property events with leadership and hands-on direction.
• Review BEOs, staffing plans, timelines, and event details to prep the operations team.
• Lead Event Supervisors and staff before, during, and after events.
• Coordinate with culinary, sales, bar and other departments to execute details.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and make real-time decisions for guests.
