Thimble Alterations seeks experienced independent contractors for bridal and formalwear alterations. You will tailor gowns, bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, including bodices, hems, beading, and zippers. You’ll handle structured gowns with multiple layers and communicate timelines clearly to clients.

Join a flexible, remote contractor network. Work from home with local client requests provided through the platform and build repeat clientele and reviews on your profile.

Formación

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precise measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsabilidades

• Alter bridal and bridesmaid gowns, mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses, and other formalwear.
• Work with structured gowns (layers, lace, beading) and ensure precise fit.
• Take measurements, communicate timelines, and deliver high-quality finishing.
• Maintain an organized workspace and provide excellent client service.

Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in bridal and wedding wear.

What You'll Do

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother‑of‑the‑bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings

We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.

Requirements

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency
• Professional communication and customer service
