Job summary

Thimble Alterations LLC is seeking experienced bridal alterations professionals to join its network. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and related formalwear, performing hems, bodice work, zippers, and fittings with precision.

The role supports independent contractors who can manage timelines and deliver high-quality finishes. Flexibility to accept client requests via the platform, build repeat clients, and maintain a professional profile.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge and precision measuring.
• Machine and hand sewing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
• Handle requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
• Professional communication and customer service.

What You'll Do

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear.
• Professional communication and customer service
