Job summary

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar in Rio Grande, PR is seeking a part-time Wedding-Catering Coordinator to plan and coordinate weddings and related events for groups assigned by the Catering Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing.

The role requires hospitality sales and conference services experience, bilingual English/Spanish communication skills, and flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends at a property of notable size and quality.

Qualifications

• Hospitality sales and conference services experience required at a property of similar size and quality.
• Proficient computer literacy; Delphi System knowledge preferred.
• Must be able to work evenings, nights and weekends.
• Excellent English and Spanish communications skills.

Wedding-Catering Coordinator

Job Summary

Ensures the successful planning, organization and coordination of all social events, weddings and related activities for each group assigned by the Catering Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing.

Education & Experience

• College Degree in related field preferred
• High school graduate.
• At least two (2) years previous hospitality Sales and Conference Services experience required at a property of similar size and quality.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Delphi System preferred
• Able to work a varied scheduled that may include evening, nights and weekends
• Must have Excellent English and Spanish communications skills.
• Able to persuade, influence and sell to the guests
• Excellent Customer Services and people skills

Physical requirements

• Able to focus attention on guests/clients demands.
• Able to remain calm in stressful situations.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
