Job summary

SLB is seeking a WL Field Engineer in the United States (Sugar Land, TX) to maintain safe, efficient PSD service delivery for customers. You will identify opportunities to improve service delivery, implement standard work, and manage risk during service delivery.

You will lead complex wireline jobs, ensure on-time deliverables, and collaborate with design/technical teams on programs and bids. Travel to remote wellsites is expected, with strong focus on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 10 years of Wireline field operations experience with customer-facing service delivery and risk management.
• Proven experience leading complex wireline jobs with safety, quality and service standards.
• Strong knowledge of wireline tools, technologies and wellsite operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making in high-pressure environments.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and field specialists.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.

The WL Field Engineer is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable PSD to Customers. The WL Field Engineer identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manage, risk during service delivery.

• Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
• Execute service delivery to the customer.
• Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
• Assist the Design/Technical Engineer with implementing technical programs and bids.
• Develop customer contacts to promote company products and services.
• Ensure company and regulatory standard compliance by implementing the Compliance Assessment Tool (CAT), self-assessments, and wellsite inspections.
• Lead Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
• Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
• Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
• Maintain the required safety training.
• Provide backup to the Job Delivery Lead and PSD Managers in their absence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 10 years of Wireline field operations experience, including direct responsibility for customer-facing service delivery, risk management, job execution, and operational leadership.
• Proven experience leading complex wireline jobs while maintaining safety, quality, and service standards.
• Strong knowledge of wireline tools, technologies, wellsite operations, and industry best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills in high-pressure operational environments.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and field specialists.
• Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively and work at remote wellsite locations.
• Ability to meet all medical, safety, and training requirements for field operations.
• Previous experience as Senior Field Engineer, General Field Engineer, Job Delivery Lead, or equivalent.
• Experience with offshore and/or high-profile land operations.
• Knowledge of Schlumberger/SLB service delivery processes, CAT implementation, and wellsite inspections.
