Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation in Hamlet, NC invites applications for a Weber Helper at our Hamlet plant. You will assist Operators and help ensure HACCP, GMPs, work instructions, and our Food Safety Quality system requirements are met.

You’ll learn production reports, quality monitors, and safety rules, while supporting training and information exchange between shifts. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is able to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Good communication skills to meet production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operators and help ensure HACCP, GMPs, Work Instructions, and SQF compliance.
• Learn and complete production reports and quality monitors accurately.
• Support safe training and information exchange between shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Plant Manager.

Hood Packaging is currently recruiting for a Weber Helper for our Hamlet, NC plant.

Functional Responsibilities

• The Helper will assist and work with the Operators. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, Work Instructions, and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.
• Quality, quantity, waste amounts, safety of personnel and equipment.
• Responsible for learning and understanding the timely and accurate completion of all production reports, quality monitors, work instructions, safety rules and guidelines and posted rules and guidelines for preforming Operator in training.
• Assist in directing the work and safe training of others at the direction of the Operator.
• Responsible for learning and understanding all pre-setup work and materials necessary for the job and directly shares responsibility for set-up, production, quality, scrap, and shutdown.
• Assist and work with the Operator to ensure that proper and complete information exchange between shifts takes place concerning personnel and equipment.
• Must know, follow and demonstrate compliance with all safety rules and understand working safely is a condition on employment.
• Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP’S, Work Instructions and Food Safety Quality System requirements (SQF) are in compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Plant Manager
