Job summary

Hood Packaging Corporation in Summerville, SC is seeking a Conversion Operator to join our safety-focused team. This full-time role requires attention to quality, adherence to SOPs, and hands-on operation of production equipment.

You will monitor processes, complete production reports, assist in training crew members, handle material staging, and ensure safety and GMP/SQF compliance. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required at time of application.
• This is a physically demanding position requiring focus and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, maintain housekeeping, and follow all quality and productivity standards.
• Accurately complete required production reports, quality monitors, and other documents on time.
• Help direct the work and training needs of crew members safely and effectively.
• Assist in pre-setup and material staging necessary to start an order.
• Work with the KON lead to communicate all pertinent information to the oncoming shift regarding machines, orders, equipment, and personnel.
• Provide crew relief during breaks as directed by the lead.
• Ensure compliance with all safety rules, understanding that working safely is a condition of employment.
• Assist in assuring HACCP, GMPs, Work Instructions, and SQF requirements are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work all shifts, including 12-hour shifts.

• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
