Job Description

Overview: Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their duties under close supervision.

Job Duties
  • Manage field crew in daily project production
  • Ensure safety consciousness and equipment safety understanding
  • Order tools and equipment
  • Interpret blueprints and construct accordingly
  • Participate in team efforts to meet departmental and company goals
  • Provide leadership through example
Requirements
  • Five (5) years of experience managing crews on highway projects
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to seventy (70) pounds
  • Ability to climb, kneel, twist, and bend in various environments
  • Manual dexterity for handling items and working with fingers
  • Experience in utility work supervision, including gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain, and waterline (NNWW preferred)
  • Responsibilities include pipe installation, planning, procuring materials, coordinating staff, and ensuring safety
  • Effective communication in English (verbal and written)
  • Valid driver’s license for occasional travel
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and work with variables
  • Physical ability to maneuver minor obstacles at construction sites
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
