Job summary

Belmark is seeking a Web-to-Print® Pouch Operator Trainee to ensure quality during runs, make machine adjustments when needed, and stage materials in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Schedule: 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. Pay: $21–$23 per hour, with rate depending on role level and experience.

• Must demonstrate regular attendance and willingness to work overtime.
• Excellent attention to detail during production runs and quality checks.
• Able to read, write, and follow English communication.
• Ability to use a ruler, calculator and various hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and support Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Ensure quality attributes are met during production runs.
• Pack pouches per customer configuration.
• Perform quality checks and adjust machines as needed.
• Issue raw materials and complete paperwork for final counts.

Schedule:

• 1st shift hours are from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Friday

Pay:

• $21 - $23 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.

What will I do in this role?

• Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Attention to detail and ensure quality attributes are met during the production run.
• Packing pouches per the customer pack configuration.
• Perform quality checks and making machine adjustment as necessary.
• Issue raw materials and final case/pallet count paperwork.
• Staging raw materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Regular attendance is required. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Must be able to use a ruler, calculator and various hand tools.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow both written and oral English communication.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; identify and distinguish colors; see and identify moving images for color or registration.
• Ability to use hands and feet to operate machines for 100% of work time; stoop, kneel or crouch for 15% of work time, or walk for 10% of work time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or less 20% of work time; 50 pounds or less 50% of work time; 75 pounds or less 20% of work time.
• May be required to lift up to 100 pounds or more.
