Job description

Our museum client is seekingWeb Producer to support the Museum Experience and Digital Media team in maintaining and enhancing its public-facing website. This temporary contract position will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to create, edit, and manage digital content that aligns with the Museum’s mission, audience needs, and digital standards.

Location: While this position is remote, we are seeking someone in the DC metro area.

Responsibilities
  • Review web content to ensure clarity, readability, accessibility (including ADA compliance), and adherence to Museum style and brand guidelines.

  • Support Museum staff in crafting and publishing content using the Museum’s content management system (CMS).

  • Build and update web pages and components using the CMS.

  • Evaluate and prioritize website change requests in coordination with other web producers, proposing effective and user-centered solutions.
  • Perform additional tasks related to website maintenance and content as assigned.
  • Timely updates and creation of website content aligned with Museum standards.
  • Quality assurance checks to maintain content accuracy and accessibility.
  • Clear documentation and communication of work progress and issues encountered.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience producing and managing digital content for web platforms.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience with web content management systems (CMS).

  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS.

  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices in UX writing and content design.
