Job summary

Allied Printing Services Inc. seeks a Second Pressman Web to assist the Lead Pressman in setting up and operating high-speed web offset presses. You will monitor print quality, manage make-readies, and ensure production schedules and customer expectations are met.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience operating or assisting on commercial web offset printing presses preferred.
• Working knowledge of web offset printing processes and press operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Pressman with press setup, make-readies, and production changeovers.
• Install printing plates, blankets, and rollers while preparing the press for production.
• Maintain proper ink and fountain solution levels and make adjustments as directed.
• Monitor registration, ink density, web tension, and print quality throughout production.
• Load paper rolls and coordinate with the Roll Tender to ensure continuous production.
• Inspect printed material for color accuracy, registration, and overall quality.
