Job summary

Quad is seeking an experienced Web Offset Press Operator (Second Press) to join our Hartford manufacturing team. You will work alongside the First Press Operator to produce high-quality printed products and support productivity, quality, and safety goals.

The ideal candidate has prior commercial printing press experience, with web offset presses preferred. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates relocating from 100+ miles.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial printing press experience is required.
• Experience operating web offset presses is preferred.
• Experience operating sheetfed offset, flexographic, gravure, or other presses encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support press make-readies and production runs.
• Monitor color consistency, registration accuracy, and print quality.
• Inspect printed products and make quality adjustments as needed.
• Assist with plate changes, press adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Re-thread paper and adjust tension systems during web breaks.
• Monitor press performance and optimize production efficiency.
• Assist in training and supporting press crew members as needed.
• Complete quality checks and production documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
