Job summary

Quad/Graphics, Hartford campus, is seeking an experienced Web Offset Press Operator (First Press) to join our Hartford manufacturing team. You'll operate and maintain advanced web offset printing equipment and lead press crews to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.

You will troubleshoot equipment, mentor teammates, and drive continuous improvement while delivering high-quality printed products seen nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Previous commercial printing press operating experience required.
  • Experience with web offset presses preferred; sheetfed, flexographic, gravure also welcome.
  • Ability to lead press crews and mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain web offset presses and auxiliary equipment.
  • Lead press crew members to meet production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Perform press set-ups, make-readies, and routine maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot press, folder, reel, stacker, and related equipment.
  • Maintain ink/water balance, color consistency, and print quality.
  • Read job tickets and production specs.
  • Train and develop pressroom team members.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to improve productivity.
