Job summary

FOX Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its Digital Product Engineering Ad Tech team in Los Angeles. You will help build, evolve, and maintain the web advertising platform powering FOX's monetization across consumer-facing products.

The role focuses on scalable web apps, SDKs, and collaboration with product, QA, and external partners to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions. On-site work is required at least 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically, 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building modern web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and browser-based development.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, browser APIs, and client-side architecture.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs, APIs, or platform services into production apps.
• Familiarity with video playback technologies and web media apps.
• Experience building modular, maintainable, and testable software.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of design patterns and OO concepts.
• Excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web-based advertising solutions and SDKs.
• Build scalable, high-performance software supporting video and display ads, analytics, and measurement.
• Integrate third-party advertising tech (GAM, IMA, FreeWheel, etc.).
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and partner teams to deliver new features.
• Troubleshoot across browsers, devices, and environments.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, code reviews, and testing strategies.
• Optimize application performance and reliability.
• Develop subject matter expertise in digital advertising and web technologies.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders on integrations and initiatives.
