Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Web Editor & Designer to maintain and enhance public websites using Modern Campus and Sidearm CMS platforms. You will manage front-end development, CMS workflows, and ensure accessibility, performance, and user-centered design.

Collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketing to translate needs into web solutions; uphold branding, document templates, and stay current with front-end best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Web Development, CS, or Digital Media or closely related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional front-end web development experience.
• Experience with Modern Campus CMS or similar CMS platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) and performance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain responsive, accessible web pages within the Modern Campus CMS.
• Build reusable templates and content blocks from wireframes and design systems.
• Collaborate with designers and marketing to translate needs into web solutions.
• Ensure branding consistency and digital standards across web properties.
• Troubleshoot front-end issues across browsers and devices.
• Optimize pages for accessibility, SEO, and usability.
• Document templates, components, and CMS workflows for scalability.
• Stay updated on front-end best practices and emerging technologies.
