Job summary

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) invites motivated students to join as a Web Development Intern in its Boston or New York City offices. You will help build web interfaces and services for programs and candidates, from understanding user needs to delivery.

You will work in an international, collaborative environment with guidance from a supervisor, tackling practical features, APIs, and code reviews to grow your skills in full-stack web development.

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for motivated candidates to join its teams as a Web Development Intern .

You will help build the web interfaces and services used to present our programs and support candidates. You will work on practical features from understanding user needs through to delivery.

This internship takes place in the United States, in our Boston or New York City (NYC) offices.

You will work in an international professional environment that values collaboration, initiative and learning through practical work. A supervisor will help you understand priorities and take on responsibilities as your skills develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Requirements analysis: gather team needs and translate candidate journeys into web features.
• Front-end development: build responsive, accessible interfaces that work across screen sizes.
• Back-end development: contribute to the services, business logic and data exchanges behind our applications.
• API integration: connect forms, CRM tools and external services used by our teams.
• Quality and testing: check features, fix defects and document the issues you encounter.
• Performance: improve page speed and the reliability of application journeys.
• Collaboration: work with marketing, design and operations to prioritize improvements.
• Documentation: explain your changes and take part in code reviews with your supervisor.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• You are studying computer science, web development or software engineering.
• You have a foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, plus familiarity with a back-end language.
• You understand APIs, databases and the principles of version control with Git.
• You enjoy solving problems and can discuss a personal, academic or professional project.
• You are comfortable communicating in English. French is an asset for collaboration with French-speaking colleagues and audiences.
• You can work collaboratively, seek feedback and suggest practical improvements.
