Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks a Web Developer / Software Engineer (Level 1) for Fort Meade, MD. The role requires Active TS/SCI with Polygraph and full-stack development across UI, API, and database layers in AWS.

You will own features end-to-end in a security-conscious environment, participate in Agile planning, and ensure high availability and secure coding practices on enterprise web services.

Qualifications

• Security clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Minimum IAM Level I DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity, OR 11 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain full-stack web apps and services (UI, API, DB) in an Agile framework.
• Deploy, monitor, and support production services in AWS; troubleshoot incidents and fix root causes.
• Author technical approach docs, architectural proposals, and interface designs.
• Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization and secure coding practices.
• Configure and operate deployments in Linux environments.
• Design and optimize relational DB schemas, indexes, and SQL queries.
