Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Web Developer to transform the TEDB modernization effort from Microsoft Access to a resilient React-based web application. You will analyze current TEDB workflows, reimplement forms, and build secure REST APIs and data views for Navy users.

Requirements include 2+ years of web development, JavaScript/React expertise, HTML/CSS, Redux/Context, SQL, and a US citizenship with an active security clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• 2+ years of professional software or web development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript and React for production apps.
• Experience with HTML/CSS and responsive UI development.
• Experience developing reusable front-end components.
• Experience using Redux/Redux Toolkit/React Context for state management.
• Experience integrating front-end apps with REST APIs or data services.
• Experience creating data-driven interfaces such as dashboards and reports.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with back-end technologies (Java, Spring, Node.js, Python, Django, Flask).
• Experience with Git-based version control, code reviews, debugging, and collaboration.
• Experience writing unit tests or automated tests.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain a React-based web application.
• Reimplement Access forms as browser-based interfaces and reimplement subforms as relational views.
• Develop API-driven navigation, search, filtering, and SQL-backed data views.
• Create dynamic UI components, including cascading dropdowns and inline editing.
• Ensure responsive interfaces across approved browsers and configurations.
• Collaborate with Navy users, SMEs, and stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Support deployment, testing, and validation of TEDB modernization effort.
• Own features from requirements through deployment and sustainment.
