Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Software Engineer for the Developer Experience team to build foundational tooling for web applications across the DoorDash platform. You will shape the development experience, architect monorepo solutions, and collaborate with engineers and product partners to deliver high-impact initiatives.

You will mentor peers, promote best practices, and help teams ship features quickly and reliably.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in the Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem.
• Comfortable shipping changes in large, complex codebases and monorepos.
• Passionate about using emerging AI tools to help others work more effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) across the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of Web Development and impact daily workflows of DoorDash web engineers.
• Build foundational libraries, build systems, and development tools for web apps.
• Architect and implement monorepo tooling and scalable CI pipelines.
• Tackle high-impact technical challenges used by hundreds of employees across product teams.
• Mentor and promote best practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers and leaders.
