Job Title Web Developer
The Web Developer is responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the college, Walker Center, and MerleFest websites and web-based applications. This position supports the college’s mission by ensuring that digital content is accurate, accessible, visually consistent, secure, and user-friendly for students, employees, and the community.
The Web Developer collaborates with departments across the college to design and implement web solutions that support instructional programs, student services, marketing, and institutional operations while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, branding guidelines, and best practices in web development.
This is a 12-month position within the Information Technology Division, reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology and Operations/ CIO.

Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment with extensive use of computers and other technology equipment. The position requires prolonged use of a computer workstation and frequent interaction with faculty, staff, students, service providers, and external vendors. Duties involve managing multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The position may require occasional travel between College campuses and attendance at meetings, training sessions, conferences, or college events. Periodic evening or weekend work may be required to perform website maintenance, implement software updates, respond to critical system issues, or support special events with minimal disruption to college operations.

Essential functions of this position require communication, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Duties require prolonged sitting and extensive computer use, with occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and transporting computer equipment, peripherals, and office materials.
Utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, critical thinking, adaptability, and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Salary Salary Range: $48,000 to $58,000 based on education and experience
