CUENTO is a creative marketing agency. We seek a Web Designer/Developer to maintain client WordPress sites, design landing pages in Figma, and implement them with Elementor. This part-time, freelance role is remote or on-site in San Diego and reports to the Director of Web Projects.

Ideal for someone early in their web design/development career seeking flexible hours and growth into long-term/full-time opportunities as client roaster grows.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design landing pages in Figma (or similar) and build in WordPress using Elementor.
• Perform ongoing site updates and content changes on client WordPress sites.
• Update plugins, fix bugs, and troubleshoot site issues.
• Set up forms and basic tracking (e.g., GA4).
• Collaborate with marketing/creative teams on campaigns and landing pages.
• Maintain documentation of site updates and processes.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Web Designer/Developer to help maintain and continuously improve our clients’ WordPress websites. This role is focused on ongoing site updates, designing new landing pages in Figma (or similar), and building them out in Elementor. It’s a great fit for someone early in their web design/development career who’s looking to grow their skills on a variety of real client sites, as well as for experienced designers/developers looking for flexible, part-time remote work. This role reports directly to our Director of Web Projects.

While the position is part-time, there is an opportunity for a long-term/full-time role as our client roster grows.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design landing pages in Figma (or similar tools), aligned to brand and campaign requirements
• Build out landing pages and site updates in WordPress using Elementor
• Perform ongoing maintenance on existing WordPress sites: content updates, plugin updates, bug fixes, and general troubleshooting
• Make routine edits and improvements to existing pages and site elements
• Set up and configure forms and basic tracking (e.g., GA4)
• Collaborate with marketing and creative team members to support campaigns and landing page requests
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner
• Maintain basic documentation of site updates and processes

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with WordPress websites
• Familiarity with Elementor (or comparable WordPress page builders)
• Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Strong attention to detail and ability to match designs pixel‑for‑pixel
• Comfortable managing multiple small projects and deadlines
• Clear communicator, comfortable collaborating remotely with a small team
• Curious and willing to learn new tools, platforms, and techniques as needed
• Basic familiarity with GA4 or other analytics tools, a plus
• Experience with e-commerce and Shopify, a plus
