Job description

Blackwall is a cybersecurity and web infrastructure company dedicated to safeguarding web ecosystems from automated threats.

Deployed across over 2 million websites and applications, GateKeeper, the company’s flagship product, is trusted by more than 100 service and hosting partners globally to enhance performance, reduce operational costs, and maximize revenue by protecting customers worldwide against emerging threats with simplicity, affordability, and scalability.

We are looking for a skilled web professional with technical expertise, a dedicated Website Developer to own the build, evolution, and technical health of our digital presence. You will act as the technical force bringing our Design and Marketing teams' visions to life and drive the website's continuous expansion.

This role will take ownership of the end-to-end design process, from user research and early concepts through wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. You will work closely with our Product and Marketing teams to translate complex requirements into simple and effective visual user experiences and ensure designs are accurately implemented.

You will play a key role in shaping how users interact with Blackwall’s products, driving design consistency, understanding user needs, and continuously improving the experience as our product portfolio evolves.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, ensuring a strong user journey.
  • Develop, launch, and maintain the Blackwall website, ensuring a flawless, responsive, and lightning-fast user experience across all devices and browsers.
  • Translate high-fidelity mockups (from Figma, Adobe XD, etc.) provided by the Design and Marketing teams into pixel-perfect, scalable web architecture.
  • Rapidly develop and deploy campaign-specific landing pages, product launch mini-sites, and localized pages to support ongoing global marketing initiatives and partner enablement.
  • Continuously monitor site health, troubleshoot bugs, optimize load speeds, and ensure the underlying code remains clean and scalable as the site grows.
  • Implement technical SEO best practices, tracking pixels, and analytics tags to ensure the Marketing team can seamlessly measure campaigns and track conversions.
  • Partner with performance marketers to implement A/B tests on landing pages, utilizing data to continuously improve conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Maintain design consistency and high standards across all interfaces.
  • Use Jira to manage design tasks, track progress, and facilitate collaboration on design-related issues.
  • Document design processes, decisions, and guidelines in Confluence to build a comprehensive knowledge base.
  • Lead user research and usability testing to ensure designs are optimized for different user needs.
  • Keep up to date with design trends, tools, technologies, and best practices.
What We're Looking For
  • Deep proficiency in modern front-end web development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and robust experience managing and building out CMS platforms (e.g., Webflow, WordPress, Contentful, or headless architectures).
  • Deep knowledge of WordPress and strong working knowledge of HubSpot.
  • General understanding of web hosting, cybersecurity, and the IT sector.
  • A strong eye for UX/UI principles. While you won't always be designing from scratch, you must intuitively understand how to execute a designer's vision accurately and spot when a layout or animation feels off.
  • Proven experience working directly alongside Marketing teams, with an understanding of lead generation, landing page mechanics, and campaign timelines.
  • The ability to balance rapid deployment for time-sensitive campaigns.
  • A bias for action when it comes to identifying site performance bottlenecks and independently deploying technical solutions before they impact the user journey.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, user-centered design, interaction design, and responsive design.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in web development, user journeys, landing pages, or internal interfaces.
  • Ability to take ownership of the design process and independently drive projects from concept through delivery.
  • Ability to communicate and explain design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence, or similar project management and documentation tools.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good written and spoken English.
Why Join Blackwall
