Eaton Compressor is hiring a Web Designer to own the day-to-day health of its existing website while creating new pages, features, and improvements. This onsite role in Englewood, OH focuses on keeping the site secure and fast, supporting SEO and accessibility, and integrating useful third-party tools.

Responsibilities include maintaining updates, monitoring performance, managing hosting and domains, refreshing content, and ensuring WCAG accessibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of website development and maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, or a custom stack.
• Understanding of responsive design and accessibility best practices.
• Familiarity with hosting, DNS, and basic website security.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the website with updates including software, plugins, and security patches.
• Monitor uptime, page speed, and performance; resolve issues quickly.
• Manage hosting, domains, and certificates.
• Refresh site content (text, images, products, blog posts, forms).
• Troubleshoot bugs and broken links; fix cross-browser and mobile display problems.
• Design and build new pages, features and functionality.
• Improve layout, navigation and user experience using data feedback.
• Integrate third-party tools for payments, CRMs, email marketing, and booking tools.
• Apply on-page SEO best practices to support ranking improvements.
• Ensure accessibility standards (WCAG) are met.
• Set up and review analytics using Google Analytics and Search Console.
• Share regular updates on site performance and recommend improvements.

Compensation and benefits
