Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Web Content Specialist in Phoenix to build, update, and maintain web pages across digital properties. You’ll translate designs into accessible, responsive pages aligned with brand standards and SEO best practices.

You’ll collaborate with UX, content, and marketing teams to ensure accuracy, performance, and a seamless user experience. The role is hybrid with a Monday–Friday day shift and opportunities to optimize content for search and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of four years of experience in CMS authoring, website production, or related technical role.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or similar platforms).
• Proficiency with CMS authoring tools, templates, and components.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles.
• Experience with website quality assurance testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation techniques.
• Understanding of SEO best practices and website optimization.
• Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to ensure technical accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple website projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot CMS issues.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Executes website content updates and landing page builds within Banner Health's CMS; ensures updates align with brand, accessibility, and UX best practices.
• Conducts quality assurance testing for website updates and new page builds across devices and browsers; resolves issues before publishing.
• Optimizes website content for search engines, performance, and user experience using meta data, headers, images, and URL structure.
• Maintains website content accuracy and freshness; monitors for outdated info, broken links, and issues.
• Collaborates with UX designers, content strategists, and marketing technology specialists on projects; translates designs into pages and implements tracking and integrations.
• Ensures WCAG accessibility compliance; implements accessible design patterns and conducts testing.
• Provides technical guidance on CMS capabilities and best practices to the Consumer Digital Engagement team.
• Stays current on web development trends, CMS updates, accessibility standards, and digital best practices.
