Cybermissions is a digital Christian non‑profit that provides free and low‑cost theological training. We are based in Rhoadesville, Virginia and rely on a diverse group of volunteers.

Position: Web Specialist (Volunteer)

We need designers and coders who can work in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, creating responsive, mobile‑friendly, fast‑loading and secure web pages from scratch using tools such as Dreamweaver. Working remotely, you will have a test server on Rocky Linux 9.0 with Apache, MariaDB and PHP. You should be comfortable using GitHub and committing code. A Zoom call can be scheduled as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop website content and layout.
  • Ensure responsiveness, performance and security of all web pages.
  • Collaborate with the team via Zoom calls.
  • Maintain code in GitHub and submit pull requests.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience designing from scratch with Dreamweaver or similar.
  • Knowledge of responsive design, mobile optimization and web security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Apache, MariaDB, PHP.
  • Ability to work independently and be largely unsupervised.
Commitment and Eligibility

This is a part‑time, virtual, volunteer opportunity, requiring 3–5 hours per week. We cannot sponsor visas or employment; we require that volunteers be U.S. citizens, legal U.S. residents or hold an appropriate visa.
