AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a 100% employee-owned federal contractor, seeks a Senior Web Applications Developer to support Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC. You will lead modernization, enhancement, and secure web applications that enable data-driven decisions and operational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, RESTful API integration, and refactoring legacy systems to improve scalability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent years of relevant experience).
• Active TS clearance w/ SCI eligibility required.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, React.js, Node.js, and modern web technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and security considerations.

Responsibilities

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a 100% employee-owned federal government contractor, is seeking a Senior Web Applications Developer to support mission-critical initiatives at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), Washington, DC. In this role, you will lead the modernization, enhancement, and maintenance of secure web applications that support data-driven decision-making and operational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, and RESTful API integration, along with the ability to refactor legacy systems, improve application scalability and performance, and collaborate with stakeholders in Agile development environments.

THIS POSITION INCLUDES A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

As a Senior Web Application Developer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following:

• Modernize and maintain web apps for scalability and performance

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent years of relevant experience).
• 8-10 years of relevant experience
• Active Security+ CE certificate or ability to obtain Security+ CE certification within 90 days of hire
• Proficiency in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, and SQL
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Ability to analyze, refactor, and improve legacy applications.
• Familiarity with Linux (RHEL) administration and update management.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or XP methodologies.

NOTE: U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance

THIS POSITION INCLUDES A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $155,000.00/Yr. - USD $175,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
