Job summary

Freedom Sales, based in Odessa, FL, is seeking a software developer to design, build, and maintain PHP and JavaScript applications that streamline internal operations. A portfolio of past work is required, along with 2+ years of programming experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of professional programming experience
• A portfolio showcasing past work/projects
• Proficient in terminal operations (Bash or PowerShell)
• Experience with Git version control
• Knowledge of SQL and database administration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, or Node.js is preferred
• MongoDB experience is a plus
• Experience with AWS EC2 instances is advantageous
• Background in managing on-premises server infrastructure, including OS installation and networking preferred
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
• Familiar with using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) like VS Code

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions to deliver features from start to finish
• Fix application bugs, address performance issues, and ensure data integrity across the entire tech stack
• Contribute to continuous enhancements of application architecture, code quality, and development methodologies
• Assist in the installation, testing, and debugging of system software
• Strategize software installations to reduce workflow disruption and downtime
• Provide training to system operators and other relevant staff
• Undertake additional related tasks as assigned
