Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a self-directed software professional to drive business analysis, design, development, integration and support of applications. You will lead technical initiatives, promote best practices and learn new technologies while delivering high-quality code across the stack.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, collaboration across teams, and ongoing optimization of complex systems within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of software development experience in the development of commercial applications using modern software engineering principles and practices.
• Experience completing tasks quickly and efficiently at a production level.
• Experience running and leading a large part of the project deliverable alone.
• Experience reducing the complexity of projects, services, and processes to get more done with less work.
• Track record of influencing and leading distributed software delivery teams using Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with cloud technologies i.e. AWS, Serverless, Event Driven Architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and other modern technologies.
• Strong knowledge and experience of professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle.

• Design and lead feature design and implementation of features for the entire team.
• Delivering/Presenting solutions for large initiatives across multiple teams.

You need to have:

• Strong knowledgeand experienceof professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Compensation Range:

$125,000.00-$155,000.00

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
